Yassen Gollev
was born on 4th July, 1956 in the attractive town of
Kazanlak, at the foot of the Stara Planina Mountain,
Bulgaria. He graduates the Art School in Sofia in
1975 and in 1984 the Academy of Fine Arts, with Painting
in the Class of Professor Dobri Dobrev as a major. Since his graduation from the Academy, Yassen taught preparatory classes for applicants to the Academy (1985 and 1989) and took participation in more than 30 general and group exhibitions in Bulgaria, open-air exhibitions, international competitions, as well as exhibitions of Bulgarian art abroad - in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Cyprus and others. Some one man and group exhibitions: 1989 - Artemis Gallery in Limassol, Cyprus, The National Gallery in Sofia, galleries and private collections in the USA, JAPAN, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Cyprus and other countries own some of his works. Yassen Gollev is a member of the Union Of Bulgarian
Artists. His works are predominantly in
painting. Preferred media is oil on canvas.
